From the very first time I met Lisa and Clay for their Raleigh engagement session, I couldn’t help but fall head over heels in love with these two! Their love of life, their joy and their laughter is infectious and they are the kind of people everyone just loves to be around. These two goofballs were definitely meant for each other.
Despite going through many obstacles and having to dodge many curveballs due to Corona virus, they ended up with the most gorgeous sunny and warm November day. Their venue, Chatham Station, is a light-flooded venue with a fun industrial feel – the perfect location for bright and light-flooded wedding images. Lisa and Clay opted for an indoor ceremony and got married in front of a beautiful floral wall.
For their wedding colors, they chose white and shades of blue, paired with lots of greenery. Lisa is a talented graphic designer and their wedding was full of personal touches – from hand-calligraphed hangers for the bridesmaids dresses, to their welcome sign to their seating chart, to their intentional table decor, Lisa and Clay did a wonderful job of making their emotional and joyful day a true extension of themselves.
One thing that definitely stood out on this day was all the love and support Lisa and Clay were surrounded by through family and friends. Some of my favorite moments to capture were Lisa interacting with her parents and I couldn’t help to shed a tear or two behind my mask as Lisa’s mom helped her put on her dress or when Lisa and her dad shared their first dance. You’ll know what I am talking about once you get to the images!
Lisa and Clay, it was an honor to capture this gorgeous day for you! I wish you nothing but happiness, belly laughs and endless dance offs for your life together.
